BBQ recipes for St. Martin’s Day

We will use any excuse to gather around the grill – and this week we’re joining our friends in Europe to celebrate St Martin’s Day. We’ve been informed that duck or goose is the traditional cuisine for this November 11 celebration, but as you can see, we like to make a couple of additions to ensure all preferences are catered for.

Here’s a peek at our St Martin’s Day BBQ recipes

Grilled Duck Breast BBQ Recipe (includes video)
If you’ve never cooked duck before, this is the recipe to start with as it’s nice and simple with only a handful of ingredients. It’s topped off with a bright beetroot sauce to give your humble meal a nice restaurant-quality finish. Once you’ve mastered this you can move on to roasting a whole duck which, by the way, tastes magnificent on the BBQ!

Tropical Marinade BBQ Recipe
We’re about to welcome the summer here in Aussieland so a tropical marinade is perfect to sum up how we’re feeling. Use this versatile marinade for chicken, fish or prawns, and remember to make extra as a dipping sauce for guests to devour at the table.

Jalapeño Poppers BBQ Recipe
By far one of our favourite barbecued finger foods. Quick to make and quick to serve. It’s so easy we always do two versions – one with bacon and the other vegetarian. Serve this first when guests arrive and it will keep their tummies happy until the mains are served.

Happy St. Martin’s Day to all those celebrating!
