Annual camp oven festival comes round again
If you missed the fun of last year’s Great Victorian Camp Oven Festival in Heyfield, don’t despair – it is on once again!
Why not jump in the car with the whole family for what’s expected to be an exciting, fun-filled weekend!
With Heyfield just a 2.5 hour drive from Melbourne, you can tempt your taste buds with food and wine tastings whilst letting the kids enjoy various rides and activities.
There will be no shortage of entertainment with country music legends Lee Forster and Adam Kilpatrick performing and of course no camp oven event would be complete without a cooking competition!
Do you make the world’s best specialty dish? Or the best stew? Maybe your specialty involves mouth-watering desserts? Whatever it is, put your camp oven cooking skills to good use for your chance to win $500 prize money! Entry costs $5 per category.
The Great Victorian Camp Oven Festival kicks off on Saturday October 31 and runs until Sunday November 1 at Gordon St Reserve, Heyfield.
Campers are welcome to bring their camping gear for a night or a whole weekend under the stars. Starting at just $10 per night (for a non-powered site for two people) you can’t go wrong for those looking for a budget conscious family getaway.
Heat Beads® is sponsoring this year’s event.
