Orthodox Easter BBQ recipes: Seafood

To commemorate the upcoming Orthodox Easter celebration on May 5, we’re doing a 2-part blog on our favourite BBQ recipes and tips for the occasion.

Let’s start with one of our favourite ingredients to use on the BBQ – seafood.

Herb Smoked Salmon BBQ Recipe
This recipe uses a whole salmon soaked in a salt water brine overnight. You can substitute this with apple/pear juice if preferred. Serve your whole smoked fish on a large platter for guests to help themselves.

Barbecued Bacon Wrapped Prawns BBQ Recipe
Crisp, grilled bacon goes incredibly well with tender, marinated prawns. This dish will be the first to disappear once served – it’s that good.

How to peel and devein prawns
Here are our best tips for peeling and deveining prawns. If you’re short of time or really can’t be bothered, you can easily get ready-peeled prawns from your local supermarket.

Remember, the magic starts with only using the freshest seafood possible so don’t skimp on quality!
