Version 2 of our iPhone App – BBQ Taste Mate – has just been released and it includes a brand-spanking new section for Mother’s Day BBQ recipes. So we’re skipping the fancy restaurant again this year and putting together a hearty and delicious BBQ menu for mum.

Here’s what we’re thinking (the first 2 are also included in BBQ Taste Mate!)…

Asian Style Fish Skewers BBQ Recipe
Let’s start with a seafood entrée. Shaping the fish on the skewers is fun and a great way to get the kids involved (don’t forget to cut off the pointy end of the skewers for the little ones).

Chimichurri Lamb Chops BBQ Recipe
Adrian Richardson’s Chimichurri has got us buzzing. We always make more than we need (storing the extra in an airtight bottle in the fridge) and use it to flavour our meats/seafood when required.

Grilled Chocolate Bread BBQ Recipe
Top it off with Steven Raichlen’s sweet and salty chocolate dessert. We did this last year for mum and it was an instant hit. Serve whilst hot.

Now finish it all off with a big kiss and a hug for mum – and a promise you’ll be good for another year.
